Why use a shelf company instead of a newly incorporated one?
In some instances it can be relevant to buy a shelf company instead of incorporating a new one, where:
You need a company immediately (The time it takes to incorporate has in some cases become longer, because the banks do greater due diligence now for the share capital deposit account)
You don't have the full required share capital for a new incorporation, (but will be able to build it up over the year instead)
For reputation reasons you need an older company
